Q: Are there vegetarian options for the Gourmet Camp Oven Experience?
A: Yes. We can swap the barramundi for haloumi and swap the pork belly for a camp oven cooked brie, cranberry, onion, basil, mozzarella and sunflower seed mini pizza. Contact Us to discuss any other dietary requirements.
Q: Can we BYO drinks on the Gourmet Camp Oven?
A: Yes. We provide one complimentary Matso's Ginger Beer on arrival to enjoy as the sun sets. Please bring your own esky and ice. Water is also provided.
Q: Is there much walking involved on your tours?
A: There is not much walking on either A Taste Of The Ord Valley or The Gourmet Camp Oven Experience.
Q: Is there a Lake Argyle Sunset Dinner Cruise?
A: No the only food tours offered at Lake Argyle are A Taste Of The Ord Valley and The Gourmet Camp Oven Experience.
Q: Where is the food for your tours sourced from?
A: As local as possible! We love supporting local businesses and their amazing produce. Each dish is designed with the Kimberley, bush tucker and the Ord River Irrigation Area in mind. A big shout out to The Hoochery, ORIA Orchards, The Chia Company, Kimberley Beez Honey, Kimberley Marketing, Ocean to River Seafood, The Bushtucker Shop, Ord River Limes, Ceres Farms and Tenderspot Meat Company Kununurra.
Q: Do your tours visit Roy's Retreat?
A: Our past tour Beyond Argyle did, however Barbara at Roy's Retreat is currently putting most of her energy into her amazing projects at the retreat instead of tourism.
Q: What tour vehicle are we going in?
A: We have a comfortable and air-conditioned iconic orange Toyota 14 seater Troopy. You can't miss her!
Q: Do you pick up from Kununurra accommodation or Kununurra Caravan Parks?
A: No. But Lake Argyle to Kununurra is a beautiful 50 minute drive or a 55 minute drive from Kununurra Airport. See our map on the Contact Us page.
Q: Are your tours seasonal?
A: Yes. We operate in the dry season between April and September when the Kununurra weather and Lake Argyle weather is perfect!
